Have A Heart: Valentine’s Day Action to Save Our Affordable Housing

Tomorrow in cities throughout the United States, people are getting together for a National Day of Action called by the National Alliance of HUD Tenants to bring attention to the housing issues in the U.S. and to save critical Affordable Housing Programs.

Here is the information about the rally and March taking place in San Francisco. For those in the Bay Area, hope you can make it. Here is information taken from the WRAP (Western Regional Advocacy Project) website :

What: A national day of action called by National Alliance of HUD Tenants to save critical affordable housing programs.
Why: Close to one million people could lose Section 8, public housing, rural, homeless, elderly, and disability housing assistance.
Where: Rally at San Francisco Civic Center and March to Federal Building with the Brass Liberation Orchestra.
When: February 14 – 2 PM
Who: WRAP, SF Coalition on Homelessness, Building Opportunities for Self-Sufficiency, Causa Justa: Just Cause, SF Housing Rights Committee, Planning for Elders, AIDS Housing Alliance/SF, Council of Community Housing Organizations, and many other housing rights groups.
