Steve “Dogon” Richardson court trial push to June 27th

Steve “Dogon” Richardson, member of LA CAN and a well known community leader in Skid Row was supposed to have started his court trial on Monday, June 13th but it was pushed back for June 27th. Dogon, myself and Dee, all members of LA CAN were arrested and sent to jail during the incident that happened on May 21, 2010 at L.A. City Hall, where police used excessive force to move us out of the council chambers. Off the 3 of us that were arrested, only Dogon is going to trial. This is clearly a case where police targetted Dogon for his work against the Safer Cities Initiative (SCI) and for documenting the abuse that police do in skid row via LA CAN’s Community Watch.

Earlier this week, Steve Diaz and Dogon’s attorney, John Raphling, were interview on Uprising Radio to discuss the case. Here is a link to Uprising radio and I am attaching an audio of what they had to say.
