Homeless children increases by 33%

Since 2007, homeless children has increased by 33% according to a new report by the National Center on Family Homelessness. An article in the USA Today states that one 1 in 45 children are homeless. To learn more about this I have included a link to NPR’s Michel Martin’s Tell Me More, where he interviews Dr. Ellen Bassuk. She is the founder and president of the National Center on Family Homelessness. Michel also interviews Mike Pomi. He is the executive director of the Children’s Cabinet, a nonprofit that provides services for homeless and other at risk children in Northern Nevada. You can listen to the interview or read the transcript.
