Remembering Hunter S. Thompson in this Documentary of His Final Hours

Today is the 7 year death anniversary of Hunter S. Thompson. A legendary journalist who created Gonzo Journalism, a style that favors the journalist personal style and approach as opposed to journalism that tends to be polish and focuses on accuracy. Hunter S. Thompson was a master at “telling it like it is.” His writing inspired the films such as the Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and Rum Diaries. He was a international icon who lived the rock star life and it wasn’t until his health condition started to take its toll on him that he felt he could no longer live up to the persona he had created.
On February 20, 2005, Hunter S. Thompson decided to take his own life with a Smith and Wesson 45. Before he committed suicide he wrote this note, “”No More Games. No More Bombs. No More Walking. No More Fun. No More Swimming. 67. That is 17 years past 50. 17 more than I needed or wanted. Boring. I am always bitchy. No Fun ??? for anybody. 67. You are getting Greedy. Act your age. Relax ??? This won’t hurt.”

This is a great documentary that documents his final hours and gives the viewer a great background on the life of Hunter S. Thompson. Enjoy.
