Remembering Marvin Gaye

Today is Marvin Gaye’s Birthday. He would have been 75 years old. Yesterday I reflected on his 30th death anniversary.

Marvin Gaye was a Godsend. He was such an amazing artist with a magical voice. He was always ever growing ever changing. His spirit is forever present in his songs and how grateful are we that we have the technology to see his live concerts and take a trip down memory line and listen to some of his beautiful songs.

Last year, I had the opportunity of attending the play, My Brother Marvin, which was written by his sister. It was a well written play that was able to give people an idea of the trouble relationship he had with his dad. Seeing the play you can just feel his pain. The scene of Marvin’s last day and that painful April 1st 1984 was a scene that had many people in tears. I am including pictures of the cast taking a bow to thank the public and my picture with Marvin’s sister.

Finally, to remember Marvin Gaye, I have compile a list of my favorite Marvin Gaye songs in no particular order. Enjoy.
