Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Hank Aaron Breaking Babe Ruth’s Home Run Record

It was 40 years ago today that Henry “Hank” Aaron made baseball history by breaking Babe Ruth’s Home Run record when he hit #715 off of the Dodgers’ Al Downing.
Here is footage of his home run and I have also included an audio of that at bat in the words of Vin Scully. Many baseball fans forget that the legendary Vin Scully made one of his famous calls when he decided to remain silent and let the voice of the fans take over. Click on the video for the full at bat and to listen to Vin’s comments after Aaron hits the home run

Listen to 3 announcers as they call Aaron’s home run including the great Vin Scully.
